Rory has been with Soho Editors since the very beginning as one of our founders and has come to be one of our most requested people. He has the perfect combination of the creative and technical and is quite possibly one of the most patient editors you’ll come across. As a colourist and editor he has the ability to take a project from offline all the way through to the grade with effortless precision.
Rory has been one of our most popular Apple, Autodesk and DaVinci Resolve trainers, applying years of real world experience in every class.
In his spare time Rory has penned a comedy-crime-caper novel called ‘The Great Hollywood Double Hustle’.
As an Apple Certified Master Trainer and professional Colourist and Editor Rory is very experienced in Apple post production workflows and shares his extensive knowledge on every course with the same enthusiasm as the first.
Rory has been working with DaVinci Resolve as his primary grading and editing tool set for many years and has been one the UK's leading DaVinci Resolve Master Trainers, continually evolving as the application does.
Rory works with Blackmagic Design to maintain, develop, and deliver DaVinci Resolve Master Classes supporting editing, grading and VFX, for the ever-evolving DaVinci Resolve.

Rory Cantwell's Software Skills
Rory has been using Resolve as his main grading software for years and he's a busy colourist, so he knows DaVinci Resolve in all its facets, grading and editing.
Final Cut Pro 7 is like going home for Rory, he has been using and training Final Cut pro since 2001, becoming a Final Cut Studio Master. Rory still uses Final Cut Pro 7 for clients, but now he prefers Final Cut Pro X.
Since Final Cut Pro X was released Rory has been one of those who was open minded about the changes and now he wouldn't use anything else to edit with. He is an Apple Certifed Training and a partner in Soho Editors.
