Rory, a founding member of Soho Editors, has been with us since the beginning and is one of our most requested professionals. He embodies the perfect blend of creativity and technical expertise, renowned for his exceptional patience and skill. As a master colorist and editor, Rory seamlessly transitions projects from offline to final grade with effortless precision.
Rory stands out as one of our most popular trainers, certified as a Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Master Trainer in all aspects: Editing, Colour, Fusion, and Fairlight. His classes benefit from years of real-world experience, making him a sought-after instructor for Apple, Autodesk, and DaVinci Resolve.
In his spare time, Rory has channeled his creativity into writing, authoring a comedy-crime-caper novel titled 'The Great Hollywood Double Hustle.'
Rory is a certified Blackmagic Design Master Trainer in Editing, Colour, Fusion and Fairlight, offering advanced training in all aspects of DaVinci Resolve. He has been working with DaVinci Resolve as his primary grading and editing tool set for many years and has been one the UK's leading DaVinci Resolve Master Trainers, continually evolving as the application does.
Rory works with Blackmagic Design to maintain, develop, and deliver DaVinci Resolve Master Classes supporting editing, grading and VFX, for the ever-evolving DaVinci Resolve.
Rory is a highly experienced Fusion Certified Trainer, specialising in VFX, Motion Graphics and Compositing.
As an Apple Certified Master Trainer and professional Colourist and Editor Rory is very experienced in Apple post production workflows and shares his extensive knowledge on every course with the same enthusiasm as the first.
