There are no client charges for our service and our operator rates are the same as those charged by equivalent independent freelancers.
A variety of different factors impact on freelancer rates including: i) The type of project (commercial, broadcast, feature). ii) Project length (long-form or last-minute cover). iii) Standard days or over nights | weekends | bank holidays. iv) The expertise of the freelancer.
In terms of cost, an overtime rate is normally agreed in advance. With regards to keeping a freelancer working past the original booked hours, unless this is pre-empted by an advance warning (normally at the time of the booking), it is at the discretion of the operator.
You can, but if your freelancer lets you down, you're back to square one. With one call to Soho Editors, you can have hundreds of quality assured editors and operators at your disposal and we do all the organising for you.

Soho Editors have a careful and thorough vetting procedure:

  1. A comprehensive review of all reels and CV's.
  2. Every operator is interviewed and has their references checked.
  3. We ideally require a minimum of five-years experience in their chosen speciality.
  4. For us, personality and client skills are just as important as technical and creative ability.

While any 'incident' is assessed on a case-by-case basis, in the instance of a first booking we do offer a no satisfaction, no charge policy on the first day's work.

Yes. Soho Editors is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We operate an out of hours number.
