What are Craft and Technical Bursaries for film professionals?

Craft and Technical Bursaries are funding for training grants of up to £800 for film professionals working in eligible craft and technical departments to spend towards the costs of training which meets key skills priorities in Post Production.

Who can apply?

You can apply if you are a film professional working in an eligible craft and technical department in feature films or documentaries. You must have at least two feature film credits , from within the last 2 years, to apply. Please see guidelines for full details.

How to apply

1. Provisionally book a place on one of our training courses by returning a completed Skillset Booking Form. We will send you one when you are ready to start your application.
2. Submit your online application to Creative Skillset. After Returning your form, we will send you through an email confirming your acceptance on the course and the link to apply.
3. Wait for Skillset to confirm if your application was successful. Creative Skillset can take up to 4 weeks to get back to you on the status of your application.
4. If successful, complete payment in full for your course.

It is vital that you read the guidelines before starting your application. Your application will not be successful if you do not demonstrate that you meet all the criteria.

This is a year-long funding programme with a rolling deadline. However, there is a high demand for our grants and funding is limited; once the total fund has been awarded, the programme will close for this financial year, which may be before this date.
