Introducing Soho Editors and HHB Communications latest fully funded training for Post-Production Audio Professionals with experience as Sound Mixers, Sound Editors or Sound Designers.
This Training Programme is to support 15 HETV Freelance Professionals with an understanding of Post-Production DAW systems within the UK's HETV Industry. If you are a suitable candidate, you will receive:
- 2 Days Classroom Technical Training.
- Practice in a working Post-Production Studio.
- Indefinite unlimited access to the lesson recording for you to revisit indefinitely.
- Training Material for you to keep.
Access Funding
This funding will also assist with rail travel to and from London and 1-night hotel costs if needed to ensure each awardee receives the best training possible. Please note, assistance funding is limited, and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
Who is it for?
The aim of this training programme is to support 15 HETV Freelance Post-Production Audio Professionals:
- With an understanding of post-production DAW systems
- Re-recording mixers
- Mix techs
- Sound editors and sound designers who are setting up to work in Dolby Atmos who are supplying Dolby Atmos mix theatres.
Therefore, in addition to having experience in one of the above roles, you must be in one of the below stages as well:
- Currently working within the UK HETV Industry at an Experienced Career Stage
- Currently working within the UK HETV Industry at an Expert Career Stage
And, you must:
- Have at least one Broadcast Credit.
- Be currently residing within the UK
- Have the right to Work within the UK
- Have an Established Connection to the UK Industry
- Be of 18+ Years of Age

How to Apply
We have only 15 FULLY FUNDED places available in this programme, so spaces are limited. Therefore, to ensure you are eligible for the training, we have introduced the following application process:
- Complete a Candidate Application and Questionnaire Form.
(Closing Date of Applications is the 22 November 2024 or when all placements have been filled). - If you meet the above criteria exactly, you will need to complete an Audio Assessment Quiz to ensure you are at the correct level for this course.
- If successful, you will be asked to create a ScreenSkills account, and formally register for the course.
Please be aware, we will only consider candidates who have completed the application in full, including all tickboxes.
After The Course
At the end of your course, you will receive:
- Access to the Lesson Recording for you to follow along at your own pace.
- A survey directly from ScreenSkills assessing how your training went.
As this funding is supported by ScreenSkills, all successful applicants details will be shared with them, and you may be asked to supply further information throughout and after your training by them directly.
