Introducing Soho Editors' fully funded AI training for Film and High-end TV Post-Production Professionals looking to confidently incorporate AI-assisted tools into their offline editorial workflows.

AI is increasingly appearing throughout post-production, but knowing where it genuinely adds value – and where professional judgement and human oversight remain essential – is becoming an important skill in its own right.

AI Assisted Workflows for Offline is a 1-day Live Online seminar-style course designed to introduce 200 Film & 200 HETV Post-Production Professionals to practical AI tools that can support their established offline editing workflows.

Rather than replacing editorial skills, the course focuses on how AI can assist editors and editorial teams with organisation, administrative tasks, temporary creative work, asset management and production workflows – while maintaining creative judgement, security and editorial integrity.

If you are offered a funded place, you will receive:

• 1-Day Live Online training focused specifically on AI-assisted offline editorial workflows.
• Practical demonstrations of AI tools and workflows relevant to contemporary post-production.
• Guidance on the legal, security and ethical considerations surrounding professional AI use.
• Access to a Video Library of the full course recording .

Access Funding

We want this training to be accessible to professionals from across the UK. Where applicable, additional access support may be available to help successful applicants take part in the programme. This includes assistance with Childcare costs, interpreters, etc. Please be aware, access funding is limited and will be given on a first come first served basis.

Who is it for?

This programme is designed for Post-Production Professionals working within Film and High-end Television who want to understand how AI tools can be used responsibly and practically within their offline editorial.

It is particularly relevant to professionals who want to explore how AI could support existing editorial processes without replacing the creative, technical and professional judgement at the heart of their role.

Applicants must be in ONE of the below positions:

• Currently working within the UK HETV or Film Industry at an Early Career Stage
• Currently working within the UK HETV or Film Industry at an Experienced Career Stage
• Currently working within the UK HETV or Film Industry at an Expert Career Stage
• Currently working within the Broadcast Sector at a minimum of an Early Career Stage AND actively looking to move in to HETV or Film.

And must:

• Be currently residing within the UK.
• Have the right to work within the UK.
• Have an established connection to the UK Film and/or High-end TV industry.
• Be aged 18 or over.

In this 1-day Live Online course, we will explore where AI can genuinely support Post Professionals working in the offline editorial process – from managing notes and production information to creating temporary assets, searching footage and organising AI-generated material.

The course also looks at the professional responsibilities that come with introducing AI into production workflows, including data security, copyright, licensing, transparency and verification.

Module 1 – AI in the Offline Editorial Process

We have 200 Film and 200 HETV fully funded places available across the programme for Offline Post-Production Professionals.

To ensure places are awarded to eligible applicants, the programme will use the following application process:

1. Create or update your ScreenSkills profile and complete the programme application form.
   Applications close 8 March 2027 or earlier if all available places have been filled.
2. Eligible applicants will need to submit their current CV and may be asked to provide further information about their professional experience and current work within Film or High-end TV.
3. Successful applicants will be offered a place on one of the available Live Online training dates.

Places are limited and we recommend applying as early as possible.

At the end of your course, you will receive:

As this programme is supported by ScreenSkills funding, successful applicants will be required to complete their ScreenSkills profile and may be asked to provide feedback or further information to help ScreenSkills evaluate the impact of the training.
