Mike has been in the Television Broadcasting business all his working life. He joined the BBC as a Graduate Engineer, having gained a degree in Electronic Engineering and Communications at Southampton University. He became drawn to Editing as a career, fascinated by the marriage of technical and aesthetic skills needed to produce the quality of programmes the BBC is renowned for.

After leaving the BBC Mike worked for various Post-Production facilities in London’s Soho, rising eventually to the position of Director of Editing and Post-Production at TSI Video.

His next step was to move into the freelance world. It was in this new stage of his career that he became involved in training, initially for Avid, for whom he started delivering training courses to their customers worldwide.

Beyond Avid systems, he is also able to teach a wide range of Post Production software, including Adobe's After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Mike has continued to work independently both in the UK and abroad, and has edited for an extraordinarily broad range of companies including the Disney Channel, the RAF, The American Forces Network, Islamic Relief, Oman TV, Al Jazeera, to name just a few.
