Shabazz is an experienced award-winning editor with credits in Drama, Documentaries, Entertainment, Commercials, and Music Promos. Narrative is Shabazz’s strong point. His recent credits include BBC Four’s Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle; an 8-part drama series that reveal the hopes, desires, achievements, shattered dreams and broken promises of a single fictionalised family over four generations.
Shabazz is a consummate collaborator “who brings positive energy into the edit suite” and shows great care for each edit he works on. His musical background makes him excellent when cutting to music. He dedicates himself to find and offer up the best narrative approach for all directors he works with. He takes direction very well.
