James is a multi-disciplined digital artist & animator with over 16+ years experience, who thrives on creativity. His skills include 2D & 3D Animation, motion graphics, CGI and VFX production. Throughout his professional career James has been lucky enough to work across a variety of industries including TV, Video Games, Virtual Reality, Commercial/Advertising and Social/Digital marketing. He has produced creative content for end-clients such as BBC3, Red Bull, Oculus, Renault, Shell, Barclays, Garmin, Sega, BAE, Eurosport, HP, Burn & Codemasters.
James brings an eclectic mix of inter-related digital skills to a project, including but not limited to 2D animation & motion graphics, 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, 3D animation, lighting, rendering & end-to-end CGI production. He can provide a full VFX workflow from 3D CGI, Tracking, Fur, Particle FX, Fluids – and of course compositing and offline/online editing.
His software of choice is 3DS Max, Vray, After Effects, Realflow, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Away from work, James has a rather musical ear, having played guitar for 24 years (indie, rock & metal) and he loves Formula 1, drumming and video games.
