Soho Editors Talent & Training is a leading UK-based specialist recruiter with over 29 years of experience in sourcing creative media professionals. We provide services catering to the recruitment needs of Production and Post-production across sectors such as Broadcast, Film, Advertising, Branded Content, Digital Marketing and Corporate.

The Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Editor with excellent Premiere Pro and After Effects skills, particularly motion graphics, compositing, text animation, visual effects, together with a strong interest in and some knowledge of AI. As part of the production team, the successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and work across client projects, social content, pitch materials and internal assets. They will have experience of leading a small team of editors and the speed and accuracy to turn a brief around the same day when required, often working across multiple briefs simultaneously

Ideally from a commercial, social or music video background, they are looking for someone who takes pride in the quality of their work and who cares equally about both the quality of the frame and the quality of the process, whilst not using speed as an excuse for sloppiness.

The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced creative studio or production company environment, will be honest when something isn't working and proactive about fixing it. As it is changing how things are made, they will also possess a curious mind, finding AI exciting rather than threatening.

The Client:

Our client is an AI-native creative production studio based in London. They work with global brands, broadcasters, film producers and music artists to build campaigns, content and IP, using cutting-edge AI tools alongside traditional craft. They make ambitious work at speed and are building a team that can do that with confidence.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Act as lead editor across client deliverables, social content, pitch videos and internal projects
• Create fast-turnaround social assets and brand content
• Use After Effects for motion graphics, compositing, titles and visual polish
• Collaborate with Creative Directors and producers to understand briefs and deliver on time and on budget
• Day-to-day management of junior and freelance editors as the team grows
• Build and maintain a small editors' pod; delegating briefs, reviewing cuts, maintaining quality
• Work with Production to plan edit schedules, flag capacity issues and manage turnaround expectations
• Support pitch production: quick-turn concept videos, demo reels, deck animations
• Collaborate with AI artists and creative technologists

Qualifications & Experience:

• Demonstrable experience within the industry - this is not a junior position
• Expert knowledge of Premiere Pro
• Excellent knowledge of After Effects
• Solid understanding of end-to-end post production workflow
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent project management skills

Desirable

• Familiarity with AI creative tools (Runway, Kling, Luma, Midjourney, or similar)
• Experience editing social-first content reels - eg. TikTok / YouTube formats
• Ability to shoot on a camera
