The Role:

The Retoucher will be responsible for retouching high-quality assets that meet design briefs and technical specifications, whilst representing our client's brand. The ideal candidate will be a highly creative and motivated individual, with experience working within beauty retouching and should hold a portfolio showcasing extensive retouching of skin and hair, with a strong knowledge of colour and colour space across print and digital.

It is essential that applicants be knowledgeable about colour, colour space and RGB to CMYK conversions. They should be highly creative with good visual awareness and a keen eye for detail and must thrive on working in a fast paced and creative environment.

Highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively, the ideal candidate will be proactive and able to work on their own initiative. They will also have the ability to work effectively by themselves and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will work with the creative team, advising on the most effective way to achieve the required results. They will provide clear and effective communication to the Producer, updating on progress, key dates and deadlines, in order to ensure the smooth delivery of targets.

Reporting to the Senior Retoucher and supporting the Producer and wider Content Team, the post holder will possess strong technical ability, with a focus on beauty and still life retouching.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Check images, ensuring guidelines are adhered to
  • Work on all visual brand assets
  • Colour match images against samples, swatches or colour reference codes
  • Handle multiple comps and performs alterations to images
  • Work closely with the Content Team and action creative changes
  • Ensure all imagery is sized correctly to support correct delivery
  • Engage in all technical training opportunities to continually improve skill set


  • Extensive skin and hair retouching experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Advanced knowledge of CaptureOne Software
  • Understanding of print, digital and file specification


  • Knowledge of digital photography
  • Knowledge of InDesign
  • Knowledge of Illustrator
