Post Production Media Asset Manager [Advertising] Ref: SET 730

Vacancy Description

12 Months (Full-Time) – Advertising – London - Salary Commensurate with Experience

2 years minimum Advertising experience & 2 years minimum experience in the role.

The Role:

We are currently seeking, on behalf of our client, a highly motivated and driven Asset Manager who is calm under pressure and has an excellent technical understanding of moving image video formats and post production workflows. This is a 12 month contract position to cover maternity leave within their Moving Image department.

The role focuses on the management of incoming master assets for localisation production, the QC and validation of assets, and their subsequent tagging and archiving onto the media servers, in readiness for use in live projects. This role requires excellent knowledge of post-production processes.

The Asset Manager will work alongside our producers/account managers to oversee and follow up on the numerous asset supplies they receive each week, focusing on some very high profile accounts.

There will be no client facing elements to the role, but the post holder may be required to liaise with originating post-production houses, to facilitate resupply of assets that have failed QC. In addition, they will ensure smooth transition when handing over any work, and status of assets.

However, the asset manager will be speaking, every day, to any of our 30+ TV producers, plus editorial and audio personnel, therefore excellent communication skills and administration capabilities are essential.

  • Book Edit Assistants, Video Editors and Audio Coordinators to QC, and validate the files, ensuring they are fit for purpose
  • Convey timings to the producer so that they can advise client/agency on when to expect QC/validation feedback
  • Ensure a full Asset QC & Validation report has been completed by the relevant teams for each supply
  • Convey any flags/advisories to the producer/account manager who has booked the work in
  • Liaise with producers/asset managers in order to gain insight into upcoming asset supplies and hold pencils on the internal booking system

  • Excellent knowledge of post-production processes
  • Thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent eye for attention to detail
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Ability to manage large volumes of work simultaneously
  • Excellent organisational skills
