Role: Junior Post Producer
The Role:
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Junior Post Producer to join a fast-growing, multi-site department, reporting directly to the Head of Post Production.
The Junior Post Producer will be a core member of the team, working closely with producers, operators, audio engineers and machine room - and clients - to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high creative standard.
They should be confident handling a variety of projects from brief and budgeting stage through to full delivery, and be able to support Senior Producers and the rest of the team on more complex, larger jobs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the production workflow with confidence and expertise to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Working directly with clients (predominantly agency producers) to manage expectations and to: arrange and attend briefing meetings, organise client reviews, distribute client feedback, track costs and keep control of schedules.
- Having ownership of all project assets, by creating jobs and folders on the system, and ensuring all assets are received and in place before a job starts, and dealing with new asset requests from both clients and operators
- Confident ownership of the financial running of a project, including: quoting, tracking and reporting budgets, keeping clients informed of overages, reconciling and billing jobs, and creating purchase orders where necessary
- Ensuring a smooth exchange of information between operators and clients; understanding when to push back on feedback, when to flag issues with a client, and when to advise both parties on the best approach to an issue
- Encouraging and exploring new avenues of potential work
- Continuously working on maintaining and strengthening client relationships
The Person:
- Has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a desire to learn and progress
- Has an understanding of the technology used such as flame, AFX, audio
- Is confident working on a variety of projects (from mood films to TVCs) involving a variety of disciplines (from audio, to edit and flame)
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is organised, resourceful and confident
- Has 2 years’ experience in a post-production house, preferably as a Junior Producer or Production Assistant
- Is pro active not re-active
