Permanent – Advertising & Broadcast Studio – London - Salary Commensurate with Experience: Minimum: 6 – 10 Years

The Role:

The Audio Lead is responsible for managing all audio production including audio editing, mixing, sound design, voice recording and some remote production, reporting to the Video & Broadcast Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all audio production and workflow in Broadcast Production
  • Define and implement department policies and processes to maintain high-quality workflow
  • Demonstrate the technical and creative vision to collaborate with project teams, as well as work independently, to achieve the best possible results
  • Manage independent contractors or junior staff
  • Be innovative while adhering to client brand guidelines – and when creating new campaigns
  • Improve working knowledge of other related audio post-production software and plugins
  • Maintain quality control to ensure that all work meets the highest possible standards
  • Foster a positive team atmosphere and establish credibility both internally and externally
  • Demonstrate ability to set priorities while handling multiple projects
  • Continuously explore cutting edge, current and unique production processes/procedures

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in sound design and music editing
  • Expert knowledge with latest version of Pro Tools and plugins
  • Proficient in Pro Tools
  • Deep understanding of technologies used in the audio post environment including microphone setup, signal routing, recording and ISDN
  • Strong multitasking, problem solving, communication and client-service skills
  • Experience in stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixing
  • Comprehensive knowledge of broadcast audio specifications
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with deadline-oriented short form projects
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Effective independent problem solving
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
