Permanent (Full-Time) – Advertising – London - Salary Commensurate with Experience

3 years minimum industry experience & 2 years minimum experience in the role.

The Role:

The Video Editor will possess a firm knowledge of digital camera formats, frame rates, codecs, compression techniques and file based workflows.

The successful candidate will liaise with post houses and sound studios as well as have a good working knowledge of conforming, grading and online requirements. You will also have excellent communication skills to ensure Editors, Production and the rest of the Assisting team are constantly updated with ongoing jobs and to enable the efficient use of all resources.

With experience in loading, syncing rushes and preparing media, you will also have the ability to customise this to the projects' needs and the editing styles of individual Editors.

Experience in communicating with DIT’s to confirm file delivery requirements and an understanding of how these effect the post production workflow is vital.

Our client, one of London's leading edit houses in the advertising sector, is looking to recruit an experienced Edit Assistant to join its team.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Source library footage, sound effects and music tracks
• Create EDL’s OMF’s, AAF’s and QuickTime

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum role experience: 2 years
• Proven experience editing on Avid
• Proven experience editing on Premiere
• Firm knowledge of digital camera formats, frame rates, codecs, compression techniques and file based workflows
• Advertising experience

Desirable

• Working knowledge of After Effects
• Working knowledge of Photoshop
