Role: Sound Engineer / Video Editor

The Client is a creative boutique facility, and one of the few to offer audio and visual post within a single collaborative space right in the heart of Angel. Their disciplines include Editing, Colour Grading, Motion Graphics / Design, Film Finishing, SFX / VO recording & Sound Mixing.

They are looking for a talented & creative Sound Engineer with strong editing skills and MCR experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills. They will have strong technical knowledge with a background in creative sound design for digital, film & television.

On a day to day basis the successful candidate will liaise with clients effectively at every stage of the creative process, from concept to execution and delivery. This includes managing multiple deadlines on a tight schedule. Quality control of all incoming assets and outgoing files is essential and the successful candidate will need to ensure strict standards are met for output of all materials; this includes understanding delivery processes for UK and international broadcasters.

All applicants should have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role and have excellent educational credentials. They will have an excellent understanding of video file formats/frame rates and conversion standards and mastery of software including Pro Tools, Adobe CC, Avid & Final Cut Pro. They should have a detailed understanding of Audio file formats and protocols for broadcast, experience delivering to EBU R128 standard and knowledge of DAW plugins and their application in the broadcast industry.
