Permanent (Full-Time) – Creative Agency – London - Salary Commensurate with Experience.

7+ years industry minimum experience required and 5+ years as a Senior Project Manager

The Role:

The Senior Project Manager will be dedicated to one of their Major Gaming Client accounts and will report directly into the Head of Production and Assistant Director and work alongside other Senior Project Manager’s, as well as mid-level Project Managers. They will lead project management for key game brand clients across our client’s portfolio, owning the process, productivity, and profit of the projects.

Working with the AD and BD this role will revolve around delivering a wide range of digital content that sits primarily on social.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Management
  • Work alongside Creative and Production teams to ensure projects are produced to a high standard, delivered on time and within agreed budget
  • Arrange briefings, plan, scope and quote high-level projects
  • Assign operators, lead reviews, track costs and manage project progress
  • Sign off SoW for low-mid level projects
  • Lead conception feasibility check-ins
  • Advise on production solutions across all disciplines for high-level projects
  • Lead project wash-ups
  • Support Head of Production with strategic planning for dept.
  • Mentorship
  • Onboarding new team members
  • Manage junior and mid-level PMs incl. oversight on low-mid level projects
  • Mentor junior and mid-level PMs, offering guidance for planning, scoping, costing, producing and delivering
  • Act as escalation point with further escalation to HoP if required

Financial Management

  • Own profitability in relation to Production & Delivery – monitor burn rate, manage margins, report and conduct wash-ups
  • Estimating, tracking and billing with Paprika
  • Sign off cost estimates for Delivery Team up to a certain threshold, above which will be signed off by HoP
  • Quality Control & Risk Management
  • Own Quality Assurance process and check-ins
  • Tailor assumptions for every project type
  • Prepare risk management for all projects – risk planning, contingencies and implementation frameworks
  • Proactively troubleshoot to prevent roadblocks for creative and production teams at every stage of project lifecycle
  • Resource Planning & Collaboration
  • Nurture relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of internal + external talents and their abilities
  • Conduct Stand-Up meetings twice a week
  • Liaise and lead third party vendors / freelancers where relevant

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on-agency experience in a Project Managers role, working with big brands, managing multiple projects with a strong focus on digital content production, social content (animated videos and static)
  • Willingness to completely immerse yourself in the game’s world, playing the games regularly and understanding the way they work in detail, is integral to the role.
  • Good understanding of design standards and practices with a keen eye for detail.
  • High-level understanding of post-production roles, functions, capabilities, applications and techniques across Offline, Online, Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, 3D and Sound
  • Experience managing post-production workflows across video, 2D and 3D (Adobe Creative Suite, Nuke, C4D, Maya, etc.)
  • Experience budgeting, scoping and supervising 2D and 3D animation projects
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile office environment (from home for now) managing multiple projects at the same time where every day there is something new and project priorities can change very quickly.
  • Highly proactive - you will need to own the projects you’re managing and need to make sure that both our client and our internal teams are all well informed about their responsibilities, deadlines and deliverables from kick-off
  • Comfortable setting up and organising brainstorms, briefing sessions and communicating feedback to the team
  • Experience managing the full project life cycle (including creative conception)
  • Be an instantly likeable, approachable and friendly person with outstanding communication skills and a hands-on approach to project management and producing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to spot errors in deliverables before they go to the client. Ability to pick things up at lightning speed
  • Experience working across different time zones and currencies
  • Be a team player, willing to help other members when possible
