The Client is creative agency (in the broadest sense of the word) that specialises finding, influencing and selling to modern-affluent consumers. They plan, develop and create integrated campaigns across all consumer channels leveraging all the available tools to marketers in the world today.

The Client prides itself on its ‘real world’ creative thinking, using customer and business insight to fuel creativity and ensure a right-first-time approach. They’re now looking for another energetic and self-motivated creative thinker to join their team.

They set themselves the daily challenge of #KeepVerging, it’s their philosophy that has led them into the world of PR, Influencer Marketing, Media, Social Media and Data Strategy. They’re looking for an open-minded Junior Film Editor to help develop brand and communications content that are not tied to channels or tradition.

The Junior Film Editor is an integral part of the agency, not a role that sits in isolation. Working collaboratively with all disciplines in the agency, the role will be as varied and unexpected as any. And their Creatives are as likely to be seen sitting down in the morning next to one of the Account Managers as they are a fellow Strategy team member.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team, and be responsible for championing creativity for their clients as part of a collaborative team.

The role

They are looking for a detail orientated passionate and creative Junior Film Editor.

You will be working on a wide variety of video assets including social media videos and brand films. You need to be ambitious and ready to work in a fast-paced environment and you must be an excellent team player and communicator.

You will take responsibility for creative outputs across a range of clients working closely with the rest of the Creative team and reporting to the Head of Content.

Preferably, you’ll have 3 years agency experience and a portfolio full of video editing, work in a variety of social content, showcasing your work process and conceptual thinking.

Responsibilities

These are the principals for the role of the Junior Film Editor. Ensuring these happen will lead to remarkable output commercially and raise the bar in terms of quality of output.

  • • Handling a number of editing projects simultaneously.
  • • Taking directions and reporting regularly as to progress.
  • • Keeping up to date with latest trends, innovations and technical developments.
  • • Processing video compressions and uploading videos in multiple platforms
  • • Suggesting and editing music tracks and sound effects.
  • • Footage and image research

Skills Needed:

  • • Bachelor's degree in film, graphic arts, animation, or related fields
  • • Compelling portfolio of work over a range of creative projects
  • • Thorough understanding of the filmmaking and post-production processes.
  • • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail.
  • • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • • Proactive approach, going the extra mile to get things done.
  • • A high level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication
  • • Able to take direction and work well within a team
  • • Strong technical knowledge
  • • Working knowledge of Mac computer systems
  • • Comprehensive Adobe Creative Suite experience – advanced use of Premier Pro, Photoshop, After-Effect and Illustrator.
  • • Cinema 4D knowledge and experience would be a bonus.
  • • Knowledge in photography (stills and video)
  • • Motion Graphics experience
  • • Strong composition, colour and typography skills.
