Position: Junior Editor

The Client provides production services across all channels both to agencies and directly to clients. They have offices in over 30 cities worldwide and a 2,000 strong team of dedicated production professionals.

The Role

An opportunity for a creative and highly skilled Junior Editor to join a fast-growing, multi-site company. Working across a wide variety of short format broadcast and digital content projects, They are looking for an individual capable of interpreting creative briefs and communicating key themes and narratives with creative flair and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, accurately and within tight deadlines across creative offline editing, online editing, cutting and versioning existing existing TV spots, conforming, clocking, QC and exporting final deliveries in line with broadcast specifications.

Core experience and skills

  • High level working knowledge of Premier on short form advertising content
  • Good understanding of offline and online workflows
  • Good understanding of overall post production workflow including compression and creating deliverables
  • A flair for telling stories with good creative problem solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience cutting music to suit different edits

Desirable experience skills

  • Working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop
  • Basic knowledge of grading and sound mixing
  • Experience of clocking TVC’s, conforming, QC and exporting broadcast deliverables
  • Picture research

  • Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high pressured environment across multiple projects at the same time
  • Diligent, collaborative and ability to follow detailed company ‘best practice’ processes, naming conventions and media organisation
  • Friendly, hard-working, a team player and a good sense of humour!
